Wow! On Sunday, we had a great turn out on our new terrain in Seneca Park with Alliance Francaise Louisville. Petanque Louisville would like to invite everyone to the terrain every Sunday From 2p to ?? PL will have extra boule available for those interested in playing. Check out the website for directions and some great photos of the terrain construction.

In an effort to replace some of the lost data, I’ll re-post our pictures from the Chicago tournament this past summer. You can see more pictures on our Flickr feed. Even though we didn’t do so well, a good time was had by all.
It is with great thanks to those in the Louisville Metro Parks Department that we announce the first public petanque terrain. Ok, well, officially we have to share the space with volleyball, but a terrain nonetheless. It’s located in Seneca Park just east of the tennis courts. I’ll include some photos and a Google Earth file below.
Sadly, our former webhost had a serious server meltdown. We lost some data when the disk failed.
Fortunately, we’re up and running again.

Team reservations are required.
Tournament will be played in Grant Park. Convenient to downtown Chicago.

We had a good time a couple of weeks ago on the PL piste with our friends at AFL.

In celebration of the 100th anniversary of Pétanque, Alliance Française Louisville and pétanque Louisville will host an afternoon of Pétanque and Picnicking on the grounds of St. Matthews Elementary School. Please bring your own picnic, blanket, chairs, beverages, boules, etc. For us, this will be the first pétanque outing of the year. We hope to see you there.
AFL and PL to host a 100th Anniversary of Petanque celebration picnic on 5/20/07 potentially at the Louisville waterfront. More info to come.
